Abstract

Three compounds of 2-(benzothiazolyl-2’)hyrazino-5-arylidene-4-thiazolidinone derivatives are
prepared by taking 2-hydrazinobenzothizole as a staring material. But, the prepared compounds
shows both less aqueous soluble and biological accessible. Hence to eradicate the problem its
inclusion complex is prepared with β-cyclodextrin with suitable ratio after the phase solubility studies.
Objectives of the experiment to make the compound more biological accessible and intensifying its
solubility. The synthesized compounds and their respective inclusion complex are studied with respect
to their thermodynamic properties in addition to their spectral properties (UV, IR and NMR).
Antibacterial activity of the compounds and inclusions were screened by taking the bacteria namely
E. coli, S. aureus and P. vulgaris. From the studies it has been found that the formation of inclusion
complex causes a better antibacterial activity than the original compounds.
