Abstract

Leaf explants of Scoparia dulcis L differentiated shoot buds from the callus on Murashige and Skoog s (MS) medium containing different combinations and concentrations of auxins and cytokinins or cytokinins alone. Shoot buds were formed either directly from the explants or from the callus. Regenerated shoots were successfully rooted on a medium containing half-strength MS and 2mg/l IAA. The regenerated plants were transferred to green house conditions with 75 to 80% of survival.
