Abstract

Of the two species, Caryedon serratus and Callosobruchus maculatus, the formar had higher median and maximum life spans. The males were characterized by high life expectancy and low age independent susceptibility to deaths although the ageing rate was high only in the males of C. maculatus. At all ges, the catalase level was higher in both the seses of C. serratus than in C. maculatus. in the males of C. maculatus of C. serratus than in C. maculatus. The former had higher by high life expectancy eing rate was high only. At all ages, the catalase level was higher in both the Sexes.
